Presiding Elder, Pastor Franklin Gordon

Pastor Franklin Gordon was born in Florence, South Carolina. In October of 1976 he joined the U.S. Army on the Delayed Entry Program, and began active duty service on February 7, 1977. Pastor Gordon rededicated his life to the Lord in 1993. He retired from Military service in September of 1998.

Pastor Gordon and his wife Shirley, currently reside in Smithsburg, Maryland. They have one daughter who's name is Marla. Before accepting his calling, Pastor Gordon functioned in the church as a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member, Praise & Worship Leader, Deacon, and Minister.

He was ordained as a Pastor on November 29, 1998 by Bishop Vincent R. Drummer. Pastor Gordon is currently the Pastor of Great Commission Deliverance Ministries, Inc., located in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. He continues to develop an outreach ministry in the surrounding areas and has recently completed his Bachelor’s in Theology with Teamwork Bible College of Martinsville, Virginia and a three year certificate program with Capital Baptist Bible Institute, and currently enrolled in the Master’s program with Teamwork Bible College. Pastor Gordon is currently employed with Lockheed Martin where he manages a diverse technical region in Tyson’s Virginia.
